Overview

Blended Standard First Aid with CPR / AED (Red Cross) is a comprehensive course that provides participants with skills to respond to standard emergencies in the workplace, their homes and our communities. This 16 hour Red Cross course is a comprehensive blended course (8 hours online classroom) offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Certification.

  • 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, Level C and AED

Recertification.

  • Standard First Aid: 6.5–7.5 hours; includes CPR Level C and AED; adheres to local legislation
  • Blended Standard First Aid: 4 hours online learning, 3-4 hours teaching time

Upon successful completion of the Basic Life Support & CPR course, graduates who are healthcare providers and trained first responders will be able to provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings.
