This course will introduce students to medical root words, prefixes and suffixes. Students will then construct and deconstruct terms related to general body systems as well as the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, blood, lymphatic and endocrine systems. Basic anatomy terms will also be covered to assist in the practical use of the medical language.

This course will build on both Medical Terminology and Anatomy 1 and 2. Students learn about methods of medication administration, pharmacodynamic actions and the four phases of pharmacokinetics. Students will review terminology about the preparation and distribution of medications. Finally, students will be able to identify common medications.
