Program Admission Requirements: International Students.

MCG Career College welcomes international students to our campuses across Alberta. We pride ourselves on offering programming that is flexible and welcoming to all.

 

Admission to MCG Career College requires all applicants to follow our formal admissions procedure.
This includes:

  • An interview with MCG personnel – this can be facilitated through technology
  • Meeting the admission and selection (if applicable) requirements
    • Transcript and educational credential equivalencies may be required to undergo assessment through the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or World Education Services (WES)
  • Completion and fully executed application form
  • Meeting the English language requirements

 

Basic & Advanced Massage Therapy

Education

Meet English Proficiency requirements

School Leaver Admission:

  • Completion of high school diploma, verified by official transcript, with a minimum of 60% in grade 12 English, or High School Equivalency Diploma (GED)

To be eligible for Mature Student Status, students must:

  • Have been out of school for at least one year
  • Have 50 Credits towards a high school diploma, verified by an official transcript, with a minimum of 60% in at least one English course verified by official transcript

Doctor’s note

  • Applicants must submit a clearly legible doctor’s note indicating that the student is physically capable of meeting the demands of a career in massage therapy.

Completion of Basic Relaxation Massage Therapy is required to be admitted upon application into Advanced Therapeutic Massage Therapy.

  • Completion of high school diploma verified by official transcript with a minimum of 60% in grade 12 English (either English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2), or High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) verified by official transcript

To be eligible for Mature Student Status, students must:

  • Be 19 years of age or older
  • Have been out of school for at least one year
  • Have 50 Credits towards a high school diploma with a minimum of 60% in at least one English course, verified by official transcript
