Making Communities Great

Position Title: Student Success Manager
Location: MCG Career College (Calgary, AB)
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year (Dependent on Experience and Qualifications)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Dean, MCG Career College

About the Role

MCG Career College is seeking a highly organized and data-driven Student Success Manager to oversee the full student experience—from enrollment through graduation. This role is not about counselling; it’s about coordination, communication, and driving student success through structure, insight, and collaboration.

You’ll act as a project manager for the student lifecycle, a connector across departments, and the go-to person for ensuring every learner feels supported and on track. You’ll use data and feedback to anticipate challenges, improve retention, and make the student journey smoother at every step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full student lifecycle, ensuring timely communication, engagement, and support touchpoints

  • Track and improve key metrics such as retention, satisfaction, and completion rates

  • Use tools like student information systems (SIS), CRM platforms, and surveys to analyze student experience trends

  • Coordinate with admissions, academics, finance, and support services to streamline processes and improve communication

  • Run onboarding, orientation, midpoint check-ins, and exit processes as coordinated projects

  • Lead regular review cycles for student experience data and present findings to the Dean and leadership team

  • Identify and resolve student pain points before they become barriers to success

  • Organize community-building activities and events that enhance student engagement

Who You Are

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, student services, or administration (post-secondary preferred)

  • Highly organized and process-oriented, with a track record of managing multiple priorities

  • Comfortable with data—able to analyze, report, and act on trends

  • A clear, empathetic communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Tech-savvy: able to use or learn tools like SIS, CRM, Excel, and survey platforms

Preferred:

  • Experience in a private or career college or similar student-centred environment

  • Understanding of adult learner needs and barriers

  • Experience in planning and managing events or student programs
