Job Title: Program Lead, Technology and Design
Location: Calgary, Alberta (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually
Reports To: Director of Education

Position Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and technically skilled Program Lead, Technology and Design to head our growing department, including the Architectural TechnologyCybersecurity, and Digital Art programs. This leadership role demands a unique blend of instructional expertise, industry insight, operational leadership, and curriculum development acumen.

You will be responsible for delivering instruction, mentoring instructors, expanding program offerings, and driving continuous improvement aligned with MCG’s commitment to quality education and industry relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic and operational leadership across the Architectural Technology, Cybersecurity, and Digital Art programs.
  • Instruct students in software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and other 3D design/drafting tools.
  • Ensure the development and delivery of current, industry-relevant curriculum across all assigned programs.
  • Lead and support a team of instructors, promoting instructional excellence, innovation, and learner engagement.
  • Manage program budgets, contribute to enrollment growth strategies, and oversee scheduling, resources, and department expansion.
  • Establish and maintain industry partnerships to support curriculum alignment, work-integrated learning, and graduate employability.
  • Monitor student progress, satisfaction, and outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Education on program planning, regulatory compliance, and strategic development.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary credential in a relevant field such as Architectural Technology, Information Technology, Digital Design, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related industry, plus 3+ years in a teaching or academic leadership role within a Canadian college environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and related technical tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional delivery.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation requirements in post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Experience with LMS platforms such as Moodle is preferred.
