Position Overview:
As the Nursing and Medical Administration Program Lead, you will play a dual role, combining teaching excellence with administrative leadership. Your expertise as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will contribute to the success of our program and ensure high-quality education for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Duties:
- Teaching Load:
- Teach courses within the program, maintaining up-to 50% teaching load.
- Develop and update course materials and syllabi in line with the latest academic standards.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct office hours to support and mentor students.
Administrative Leadership:
- Faculty Support:
- Mentor and support faculty members, fostering professional development and academic excellence.
- Coordinate with the Academic Chair to manage the program’s budget and resources.
- Oversee class scheduling and faculty teaching assignments.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new instructors.
- Lead the program’s accreditation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Implement strategies to improve student retention and success rates.
Curriculum and Program Development:
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with faculty to review and revise the program curriculum.
- Integrate industry trends and technological advancements into the curriculum.
- Liaise with industry partners to align program outcomes with employer expectations.
Community and Institutional Engagement:
- Representation:
- Represent the program in college committees and academic councils.
- Engage with external stakeholders to enhance program visibility and partnerships.
- Organize and participate in program-related events and conferences.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Teaching Effectiveness:
- Student evaluations and feedback.
- Peer reviews of teaching methods and materials.
- Student success rates and academic performance.
Program Management:
- Faculty satisfaction and retention rates.
- Budget adherence and resource optimization.
- Compliance with accreditation standards and timelines.
Curriculum Development:
- Curriculum relevancy and update frequency.
- Alignment of graduates’ skills with industry requirements.
- Innovation in teaching and learning methodologies.
Compensation: $72,800 – $82,000
Benefits: After 3 months
Vacation: 3 weeks plus 5 personal days and 1 “Birthday” day off.
Location: On-site

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week

- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calgary, AB T3J 0L7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
Experience:
- Instructor: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- LPN/RPN (required)
