Position Overview
MCG Career College is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable General Studies Instructor to deliver online instruction for courses such as:
- Academic Success Strategies
- Academic Writing with APA
- Computer and Microsoft Applications
- Business Communications
- Other general studies courses as required
This role is ideal for educators who thrive in an online environment and are dedicated to providing engaging, high-quality instruction to diverse adult learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver interactive and effective online lessons using MCG Career College’s platforms and tools.
- Facilitate student engagement and success by employing innovative teaching strategies.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and exams.
- Support student learning and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the Program Lead, Business and General Programs, to maintain program quality and alignment with institutional goals.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in adult education and instructional techniques.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of instructional experience or Adult Education certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the courses listed above.
- Strong familiarity with APA guidelines and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience teaching adult learners, preferably in an online setting.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $20.00–$35.00/hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Program Lead, Business and General Programs.
