Job Posting: Part-Time Education Administrator

Location: Remote with 1 day a week onsite for physical files
Work Hours: Part-time schedule to be determined

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Education Administrator. Key Responsibilities:

  • Attendance Management:
  • Create and manage attendance records in Moodle.
  • Transpose data from attendance spreadsheets into the Moodle system accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor attendance patterns and identify at-risk students.
  • Report attendance concerns to the appropriate Program Lead in a timely manner.
  • Student Support:
  • Work directly with struggling students to provide resources and guidance to help them get back on track.
  • Collaborate with Program Leads to reschedule student courses and exams as needed.
  • Academic Records Maintenance:
  • Maintain and organize student academic files under the direction of Program Leads.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Communicate regularly with faculty and department heads to address student needs.
  • Prepare and share reports related to attendance, academic progress, and interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a post-secondary diploma or degree.
  • Student Services background is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas.
  • Proven experience with data entry and organizational tasks.
  • Proficiency in Moodle or similar Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing academic records.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students and collaborate with staff.
  • Experience in an academic or administrative role is an asset.

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
