Get to know MCG’s Founder, Monika Gupta

“As long as we are not living in harmony with nature and our constitution, we cannot expect ourselves to be really healed. Ayurveda gives us the means.??? – David Frawley

Ayurvedic medicine teaches us that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body and spirit. From humble beginnings in India, Dr. Monika Gupta founded MCG Career College with a vision of applying this idea to elevating health and wellness training programs, and extending it into the lives of students, so they may unlock their potential and become their best selves.

March is Red Cross Month

The perfect time to sign up and save a life.

Every year, the Canadian Red Cross observes Red Cross month in March to honour the efforts undertaken by the Red Cross organization as a whole. The Canadian Red Cross is one of 190 National Societies, yet its unique impact can be felt in a variety of ways, both locally and internationally for some of the amazing work they’ve done.

From 2011 to 2012, the Canadian Red Cross assisted 46,719 people in Canada affected by disasters and more than 100,000 hours were devoted by volunteers to help those in need after disasters. From providing access to food, water, shelter and clothing to offering a range of services that enhance the skills and knowledge of individuals affected by adversity, Canadian Red Cross programs give people assistance when they need it most.

Then you clean up, relax with a cup of tea and complete your client notes in plenty of time for your next session. You are helping people, taking care of yourself and earning a great income. You feel fulfilled, energized and excited about your future. Sigh…. This is awesome, you reflect… Thank goodness you made the choice to switch careers.

2019 Year in Review

A new name, a new look — a new type of college experience

Can you believe that 2019 is wrapping up? If you’re like us at MCG, you’ve been taking some time over the month to reflect on all that took place in the last year and planning for what you want the new year to look like.
In case you forgot, we put together this blog to cover all the exciting things took place at MCG in 2019 — and oh boy, did we sure set the bar for 2020!

Rebranding into MCG Career College
In August, MCG officially launched a new brand. What began as the Northern Institute of Massage Therapy became MCG Career College. More than a technical training institution, MCG is a gathering place for a community of innovators in health and wellness training.

Make a difference in your community

Become a Medical First Responder (MFR)!

Medical First Responder (MFR) is a comprehensive program for people looking to work or volunteer in the area of emergency first response. If you’re interested in fire rescue, police service or safety and security, you might be a good fit for MFR training!

The MFR course can empower students with the knowledge and skills to provide basic first-on-scene medical care to patients before and after Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives. Many police, industrial organizations, safety and security enforcement agencies and remote operations need emergency and medically trained personnel. MCG Career College is pleased to offer this unique education experience and thrives on providing a place for people to grow into a new career.
